Joanne E. Collins, 72, of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025. Born on November 29, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, Joanne lived a life full of creativity, resilience, and a deep love for her family. Joanne was the proud owner of Lady Lake Florist, where she spent many years creating beautiful floral arrangements that brought joy and comfort to her community. Her work was more than just flowers, it was a true expression of art and care.
A nature lover at heart, Joanne enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and especially spending time at the beach with family. Before settling in Florida, she and her partner John Douglas Elliott spent several years traveling across the United States, building memories and adventures along the way. In 1982, they made Lady Lake their home.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar Perkins and Ermal Sharp, her brother Don Perkins, and her beloved son Dennis Perkins.
She is survived by her sisters Brenda Rogers and Polly Efaw, her son Cliff Elliott and his spouse Tami, and her cherished grandchildren Jacob Elliott, Alexandria Perkins, and Madison Perkins.
Joanne will be remembered for her strength, kindness, creativity, and the unconditional love she gave to everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in the beauty she created and the hearts she touched.
