Jo-Ann May Strickland's Obituary
Strickland, Jo-Ann May, age 86, formerly from Washington, D.C., passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023.
She was a 1953 graduate of Suitland High School, Maryland, and earned an Associate degree in 1955. Jo-Ann was a member of the Royal Squares and square/round danced with her husband, Melvin. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida.
Jo-Ann was an Office Manager for Monroe Auto Equipment. She enjoyed competitive roller
skating and was an award-winning bowler.
Preceded in death by her parents Joseph Messinese and Eula Mae Smith; brother, James; sister, Delores; and grandparents Adeline and Pasquale Romano.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Melvin Lee; 2 daughters, Adele and Delores; 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
