Jimmy Holt Bell's Obituary
Jimmy Holt Bell, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Jimmy was born in Burlington, North Carolina to his parents Irving Lee Sr. and Ruby Wilkinson Bell. He graduated from Elon University in 1956 and attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina. He served in the Army National Guard from 1959 to 1965. He worked as a chemist for Lorillard Tobacco Company for 43 years.
Jimmy married the love of his life, Zoe Kathryn Styers, on December 8, 1961, and the two would go on to raise three children before retiring to Leesburg, Fl in 1999.
With a love of sports, Jimmy was well known for his passion of golf, baseball and skiing. He also volunteered his time as a soccer coach.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife, parents and his siblings, William E. Bell, David J. Bell, Helen Gibbs, Thelma Shoe, and Irving L. Bell, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Kevin E. Bell, Stephen H. Bell, and Richard B. Bell.
