Jewel Galley's Obituary
Jewel Galley, 93, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2019 at North Campus Rehabilitation Center, Leesburg. Jewel was born on September 24, 1926 in Wauchula, Florida to her parents Virgil Parrish and Fadie (Youmans) Parrish. She was a former Teletype Trainer for Western Union and had worked for them for 30 years. Jewel moved to Leesburg in 2003 from Altamonte Springs, Florida and was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking for her family and friends. She also liked to sew and loved children. Jewel was an active walker and belonged to a walking club at the Altamonte Mall. She is survived by her loving children: Cindy McConaghy and her husband Michael of Apopka, FL and Bill Galley of Leesburg, FL and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as brothers and sisters and her beloved husband, Harold Galley. She will be inurned at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, Sanford, Florida.
