Jerry Muriel Steger's Obituary
Jerry Muriel Steger, 91 went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2015. Jerry was born on July 07, 1924 in Groveland, FL to her parents Amos and Kate Sandefur. She and her husband William moved to Leesburg, FL from Granbury, TX in 2004. Jerry was an active member of Southpointe Baptist Fellowship of Leesburg, FL. She was also a proud member of Legacy 55, a 55 and older group at Southpointe Baptist Fellowship and a member of the Groveland Historical Society. Jerry enjoyed knitting dish cloths, cooking, gardening, entertaining, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Those who knew Jerry would say that she was a loving and happy women who was kind, always positive and always so full of life. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years William Steger, of Leesburg, FL; Son: William (Karen) Steger, of Bolingbrook, IL; Daughter: Patricia (Tom) Slezak, of Leesburg, FL; Nephew: Billy (Diane) Pennington, Vidalia, GA; Best friend: Delores Walker, of Clermont, FL; Four Granddaughters: Michelle (Eric) Mandley, of Bolingbrook, IL, Elizabeth (Eric) Kimble, Plainfield, IL, Katie (Jared) Haggard, of Fort Worth, TX, Lara (Steven) Hoefelmann, of Weatherford, TX.; Eleven Great-Grandchildren; and many Nieces and Nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday August 20, 2015 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home located at 914 West Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748. A Funeral service will follow on Friday August 21, 2015 at 1:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home.
