Jerry Bernard Gallin's Obituary
Jerry B. Gallin, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was born in Morgantown, WV and served in the U.S. Army in the 1960’s as an aerial photographer in Korea. He graduated from West Virginia University and worked as a TV and radio broadcaster and was also an educator.
Jerry married his beloved wife Rita Savitt Gallin 53 years ago. They moved to The Villages in 2006. They have one son, Robert Gallin, daughter-in-law Robin Mueller Gallin and three grandsons, Benjamin, Adam and Joshua.
Jerry was known for his magnetic personality and his heart of gold. He had many talents and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was an active member of Temple Shalom in Oxford, FL, where he enhanced the choir with his spiritually moving baritone voice, was a member of the temple Brotherhood, and the Jewish War Veterans.
Jerry was a bright light that drew people to him. He was well known for his wicked sense of humor. He absolutely adored his wife Rita, his family, friends, and baby dog Bailey.
