Jean Elaine Brien's Obituary
Jean Elaine Brien was reunited with her beloved husband Al in heaven on January 1, 2021. Jean and Al were married for 73 years and are deeply missed by their children, Michael (Susan) Brien, Sandy (Sandy) Brien, Nancy (Bob) Szwyd, and Christine (Richard) Golden. The couple were also blessed with 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Jean was born in Malden, MA in 1933. She is the last of a generation, predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Jean lived most of her life in New England before retiring with Al to Leesburg, FL. She worked at The Pillbox Pharmacy in Hampstead, NH and at Raytheon in Andover, MA. The couple most recently lived at Lakeview Terrace, in Altoona, FL.
Jean was a talented quilter and her handiwork, treasured by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, will live on long after her death. She spent many years tirelessly sewing teddy bears and quilts for the children of Boggy Creek Camp. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, church-related activities, and spending time with family and friends.
