Janie Elizabeth Lay, 89, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on August 31, 2023.
Born to her parents, Stephen and Marguarite Myer, Janie was raised her whole life in Leesburg, FL. But she was known as a traveler, visiting far away places such as Europe and Hawaii.
Janie is survived by her daughter, Vicki Summerlin of Leesburg, FL; sons, Chuck (Cindy) Lay of Weirsdale, FL and Ron Lay of Leesburg; siblings, Linda Ohlwiler of Fruitland Park, FL and Roy Myer of Fruitland Park, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jason Lay (Kellie) of Leesburg, FL, Jennifer Summerlin Mendell (Rob) of Leesburg, FL, Adam Kapusin (Michelle); 9 Great-Grandchildren, Jacob, Malia, Nick, Gab, Jazmin, Bella, Gavin, Logan and Liam; 4 great-great grandchildren, Sophia, Connor, Gabriel, Colton; as well as many nieces and nephew.
Janie preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Lay; her parents Stephen and Marguarite Myer; and sister, Marsha Bradshaw.
