James R. Hamman's Obituary
James R. Hamman, age 81 of Leesburg, passed away December 29, 2018. James was born on July 2, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan to Hazel Hamman.
James worked for General Motors for 37 years, a job he highly regarded and was diligent about. James also served in the U.S. Navy.
James loved his family and friends, he was always willing to help out those in need doing repairs or fixing things that he could help with. James loved to paint and draw. James was fine artist and sold many pieces of his work at fairs and shows. James also did professional matting and framing.
James is survived by his wife Joan of Leesburg, son Jefferey Hamman (Tamra) of Saginaw, Michigan, Daughter Jena Parens (Robert) of Lynn Haven, Florida, daughter Heather Strobel of Melbourne, Florida, Step-son Edward Knudholt of Fort Meyers, Florida, Step-son Gregg Knudholt (Jennifer) of Winter Garden, Florida, 13 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his Mother and a sister Georgia.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Lake County Alzheimer’s Association, or Hospice of Choice.
There will be a Memorial Service at Bethany Lutheran Church of Leesburg at a later date.
