We all knew that Jim was very sick, but when the life of a loved one ends, even knowing how very sick they were, it still leaves us in shock. Joe and I donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t have the words to express how sad we are for your loss. We loved Jim too. Everything he did was done right and there was no one who could do anything any better than Jim. Whether he was cleaning the car, working on the house or building something, it was done with perfection. Joe still talks about the boat that he and Norman re-did. Joe said it is a Ã¢â‚¬Å“typical Van Hook JobÃ¢â‚¬Â. Rosalie, we know you miss him, but remember Jim knew that he had the best, most self-less and loving wife anyone could ask for and you took good care of him. "Indiana Jim",It's 5 o'clock and we're having a glass of wine in your honor. Spending time in our second home across the street from you and Rosie will not be the same without you. You were a wonderful friend and mentor to us "kids" for the five years we have known you. When we moved to the Plantation five years ago, Jim immediately took us under his wing, providing assistance with everything from finding a golf league to the best Italian restaurant in town. Jim was always there to provide woodworking assistance, and we valued our times with he and Rosalie. His kindness, compassion, and down to earth common sense will surely be missed by us all. It is a real tragedy for us, his neighbors at The Plantation to have lost our good friend, Jim. He was one of the warmest persons we knew, always there with a joke or kind word to cheer us up. He innumerable times helped us with the technical skills we lacked, fixing a piece of furniture, building a drawer and a number of other things. He was an inspiration to all whom he touched.
