Mr. James C. Duncan's Obituary
James Carleton Duncan age 77, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his residence in Dade City, Florida. He was born in Evansville, Indiana and moved to the Dade City area earlier this year from his longtime residence of Ft. Meyers, Florida. He was the President and CEO of J. C. Duncan and Associates Inc., a telecommunications company which specialized in hospitality applications working with large hotels in Florida and around the country. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, and was known for being handy. He held a passionate curiosity for construction and design. Jim was a sailor in mind, body, and soul. He was an expert marksman, dog lover and avid kayaker. Jim was extremely knowledgeable and known by his family and peers as being a “walking encyclopedia.” Jim was great at telling stories and he would capture the hearts of the young and old. He was a very loving and giving man to family and strangers alike. Quick tempered and quick to forgive, Jim was loved by all who encountered him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years – Debrah; 3 Daughters – Crystal Duncan of Tampa; Kristen Prouse of Simcoe, Canada; and Cynthia Stroud of Cadiz, KY; two Brothers – Jack Duncan of Boston Mass, Jay Duncan of Missouri; and 3 Grandchildren – Sumyyah, and Eve Majid; and Brandon Stroud.
At James’ request his services will be private and very “low key.”
