James Alex Cichielo's Obituary
James Alex Cichielo “Chick”, 72, of Middleton, Florida, was called to his heavenly home on April 25, 2026.
He was born on April 16, 1954, in New York, New York, to James and Theresa Cichielo.
Jim was known for his unwavering love and loyalty to his family and friends, his kind and generous heart, a passion to push those he knew to be the best version of themselves and a work ethic that could not be matched.
He spent his early years at Frank Carey Highschool in New York where he found great enthusiasm and excelled at lacrosse when he wasn’t busy with “The Kruze Street Kruisers”.
He would later go on to create a reputation of excellence, vision, and innovation in The Villages as a highly respected building contractor. Through his determination, grit, and heart, he became one of the most sought-after in his field.
Beyond his work, Jim was always ready with a joke, the first to get up and dance, and a steadfast friend. He was a committed family man who never turned down an invitation to dress-up, play barbies, take a nighttime bike ride, or just gather to hangout. Jim always looked forward to annual golf trips with his son and childhood friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Tasha; his beloved children, Jimmy (Sarah), Michelle (Wayne), Jessica (Kalani), Lyla, and Sophia; his treasured grandchildren, Alyssa, Megan, Carlie, Karmin, Alex, Alivia, Tre, and Remi; and his dear sister, Barbara.
Jim made this world a better place simply being in it and we hope all who knew him will carry on his legacy of love for life.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 31st, from 4-8PM at the Olympia Rec Center
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GoFundMe-- James A. Cichielo Scholarship Fund for The Villages Charter School Construction Academy
