Jairo Arturo Ibañez Urrea, 71, of Leesburg, FL, began his Heavenly journey on December 9, 2025. Jairo was born on June 11, 1954 in Bogota, Colombia to his loving parents; Jose and Graciela.
Jairo moved to Florida in July of 1999 and regularly attended mass at St. Paul Catholic Church. He worked as an accountant in telecommunications for over 25 years.
Jairo enjoyed listening and dancing Cumbia to music, taking road trips and traveling to Colombia to see his family. He will be remembered fondly for his peaceful demeanor. Jairo was a kind and respectful man, he was always smiling and very lovable. He will be missed by many.
Jairo is survived by his wife of 28 years, Luz Marina Gallego, his mother Graciela Urrea de Ibañez, his children; John Ibañez (Erika), Alexander Ibañez (Johana), Yelithza Ibañez (Nestor) and Lorena Ibañez, as well as his siblings; Jose Ibañez, Bertha Ibañez, Doris Ibañez and S. Lilina Ibañez, a very close brother in law who he considered a brother, Ovid Vasquez, four grandchildren; Sebastian, Daniel, Paula and Julianna and a precious grandchild, Sofia.
