Jackie “Bumpa” Burgess
Groveland, Florida
On September 8, 2019 Jackie passed peacefully to walk with Jesus in Heaven. She was born on July 28, 1928 in Madawaska, Maine where she grew up with GOD in St.Agatha Convent. Jackie moved to Coventry, Rhode Island, married Harold Burgess and raised five children; Marion Gadoury and Jeff Burgess, who met her in Heaven, and her loving daughters Linda Hoxsie and Bonnie Burgess from Coventry, Rhode Island. She resided in Groveland, Florida with her son Joe Burgess.
“Bumpa” as she was affectionately called by her many grandchildren was adored and cherished by everyone in the family. She loved to meet people and treated everyone the same, whether a prince or pauper. It was her innocence that everyone recognized and loved. She would converse for hours with strangers and earn their friendship in minutes. Jackie truly enjoyed watching senior softball games and cheering on her son Joe’s Hot Zone Teams with a “bleacher-full” of friends and wives of the players.
She was beautiful both inside and outside, as beautiful as any person could be. She loved her GOD, her family, her friends, and life itself. She will never be forgotten and forever be loved and adored.
