Jack Lamar Adams' Obituary
Jack Lamar Adams passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 82. He was born on September 3, 1931 in Waycross, GA to the late Preston and Lottie Mae Adams. Jack served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corps. Most of his life was spent living in the Orlando area where he served a short time as a police officer, and then created the Adams Paving Co. which he operated for many years. Jack was known as a big hearted person, always willing to help, and the type of person who never met a stranger. He was very active in his community, a member of the V.F.W. and loved to play darts. Jack is survived by three sons; Jack Lamar Adams Jr. of Leesburg, FL, Craig Adams of Orlando, FL, and P.W. Adams of Daytona, FL, two daughters; Cynthia Gimenez of Morriston, FL, and Teresa Adams of Leesburg, along with 11 grand children, 6 great-grand children and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in the Page-Theus Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow the services in Florida National Cemetery.
