Irving William Stone's Obituary
Irving William Stone passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the age of 80. He was born on January 6, 1929 in Davidson, Saskatchewan, Canada to the late Frank and Mae Eva Stone. As a young man he served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps, and was later drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. While living in Massachusetts he worked in Production and Warehouse Management, but is probably best remembered locally as a security guard at the Ocoee Auto Auction. When he could, Irving enjoyed a good round of golf. Irving is survived by his loving wife Carlyne Stone of Leesburg, three sons; Ronald Stone in Mass., David Stone and Roy Stone both in CA., and two daughters; Ardis Stone and Lori Mahoney both in FL. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and he had a very special relationship with a nephew Edward Carter in PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one son Scott Stone. Funeral services for Mr. Stone will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Page-Theus Funeral Home, followed by burial in Florida National Cemetery with military honors. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The family has suggested that memorial contributions in Irving's honor may be directed to Cornerstone Hospice.Page-Theus Funeral Home
