Irene Victoria Witt's Obituary
Irene Victoria Witt (Lamphier), age 92, formerly of Wall Township, NJ, died peacefully on May 18, 2022, in Clermont, FL.
She is survived by her daughters Renee Heyniger (Cortland), of Spring Lakes Hts., NJ; Sandra Witt, of Leesburg, FL; Pamela Wadzita, of Vancouver, WA; her brothers; Dwight Lamphier and Roy Lamphier, of Meriden, CT; her sisters; Marion Schramm, of Clermont, FL; Dolores Egan, of Maine; Evelyn Niland, of Prattsville, AL; her seven grandchildren; Cortland J. Heyniger, Michael Heyniger, Alec Wadzita, Matthew Wadzita, and Victoria Wadzita; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Witt, Jr., (a former Wall Township, NJ police chief); her daughter, Mary Elizabeth; her brother, Frank Lamphier; her son-in-law, Michael Wadzita.
She was born on June 3rd, 1929 in Pawtucket, RI, to parents, Anne and Frank Lamphier. She grew up in Meriden, CT later moving to East Orange, NJ, where she met and married Walter Will. They relocated to Spring Lake Hts. at the Jersey shore, then settled in the house she loved in Wall Township, NJ. She retired to Leesburg, FL in 2017 with her daughter Sandra.
There will be a private interment at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, in Wrightstown, NJ.
Irene was a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt and Nana. She was happiest when in the company of her family. She was so special, and will be forever loved and missed.
