Howard B. Fox's Obituary
Howard B. “Bob” Fox, Jr. 92, Fruitland, Park, FL. went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2012 at Leesburg Health and Rehab. He was a long time resident of Leesburg and Fruitland Park having come here from St. Petersburg, FL. in 1958. Born in New Jersey Mr. Fox joined the U.S. Merchant Marines and graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 1946. He was a veteran of World War II serving on various ships. After the war he worked for Florida Power and eventually became a licensed Insurance Agent with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he retired after twenty years of service and became a local Real Estate Agent. He was a member of the Lions Club of Fruitland Park and the Moose Club of Leesburg. H is survived by his son: James H. Fox of Jacksonville, FL.; a long time caregiver: Helen Jones of Fruitland Park, FL. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11:00am at Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg, FL. with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with military honors. In lieu of flowers Bob had requested donations be made to the Lions Eye Bank in his memory. Online condolences may be left by visiting www.pagetheusfuneral.com.
