Howard Earl Arnett's Obituary
Howard Earl Arnett, age 86 of The Plantation of Leesburg passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. He was born in Salisbury, Missouri and moved to the Leesburg area in 1999 from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. He spent his 37 year career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for the McDonald Douglas Company and his meticulous nature allowed him to excel as a Technical Writer creating aircraft maintenance and operation manuals. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, and he proudly served in the U. S. Army during WW II and was part of the occupying forces in Japan after the war. After he retired to Florida he worked for Disney Cruise Lines in guest services for another 10 years. He will be remembered for his love of Travel planning at least one major and sometime exotic trip every year, and that he was the most organized person you could ever meet. He loved to dance and participated in The Plantation’s Theatrical Group’s programs and presentations.
Survivors include his Sons – Mark Randall (Ronda) Arnett of Florissant, MO; and Jeffrey Jay (Michelle) Arnett of Gunnison, CO; and 5 Grandchildren – Daniella, Stacey, Stefani, Benjamin, and Shawnda.
There will be a Memorial Service 11:00 A. M., Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg Rev. Karen Burris will serve as Officiant. All arrangements are under the careful direction of Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg, Florida.
