Herbert Wayne Linn's Obituary
Herbert Wayne Linn, 95, Leesburg, Florida passed peacefully on December 14, 2025, at Waterman Village, Mount Dora, FL in the company of his children.
Herbert was born on November 9, 1930, in Manhattan, KS to his parents John Linn and Mildred (Bachelor) Linn. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was commended for his bravery in the Battle of Pork Chop Hill. A graduate of the University of Kansas, he worked as an Aeronautical Engineer at Lockheed Martin for 30 years. Herbert enjoyed traveling with his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Linn, on cruises and with the Apollo RV club, visiting 49 states and Canada. After retiring in 1990, he became an accomplished woodworker who enjoyed challenging himself with increasingly complex projects.
He is survived by a daughter: Denise Picard of Winter Garden, FL; a son: Chris Linn of Asheville, NC; and two grandchildren: Jessica and Scott Picard. In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a public memorial service.
