Mr. Harvey V. Richardson's Obituary
Harvey V. Richardson age 80 passed away in Leesburg, Florida on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Harvey was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to the Leesburg area in 2005 from Glenview, Illinois. He spent most of his career as a coordinator in the transportation industry. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War and was an active member for many years in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He helped organize the “Army Club” which later became the Military Club at the Pembroke Fairways Community, and he was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for over 30 years. He was also proud that he ran and completed the Chicago Marathon (26.2 Miles) twice the first in 1980 and then again in 1981.
He was pre-deceased by his parents – Walter and Bertha Richardson and a brother Wallace Richardson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years Carole, Sons – Brian Richardson of Loveland, CO; and Steve Richardson of Rolling Meadows, IL; a brother – Glenn Richardson of Algonquin, IL; 4 Sisters - Dyna O’Brien of The Villages, FL; Marian Carey of Wilmette, IL; Gloria Mockler of South West Ranches, FL; and Sandra Bauer of Port St. Lucie; and 2 Grandchildren – Ella and Emma Richardson.
A Graveside Service will take place at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors on January 28, 2013 at 1:00 P. M. All arrangements are under the careful direction of Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg, Florida.
