Harriet J. Browne's Obituary
Harriet J. Browne, 86, formerly of Fruitland Park, Florida passed away on
December 11, 2019 at Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Florida under
the loving care of her family and staff of Cornerstone Hospice. Harriet was born on
July 21, 1933 in Dyer Brook, Maine to her parents Alvin Goode and Vera
(Kennedy) Goode. She grew up in Smyrna Mills, Maine, and then attended Faith
School of Theology in Old Orchard, Maine. She later moved to Searsport, Maine
where she helped Pastor at The Full Gospel Church with her late husband Rev.
Robert Browne. Harriet and her husband continued their Ministry efforts at the
Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They finally moved to
Fruitland Park, Florida and Pastored at Leesburg First Assembly of God Church.
Harriet was extremely devoted to her Lord and Savior, to her church and extended
family. In later years she served as the ‘Minister of Heart’ Seniors Pastor at Life
Church of Fruitland Park, Florida. She is survived by her sister: Janice O’Sullivan
and her husband Bradley of Leesburg, FL; sister-in-law: Sandra Goode of Dover,
New Hampshire; three nieces: Cheryl Averill, Donna Razin and Vicki O’Brien; a
nephew: Kevin O’Sullivan; great nieces and nephews: Jenna Thornton, Amanda
Dargy, Shoshanah Razin, Richard Averill Jr., Caitlin Averill, Kyle O’Brien and
Dana O’Brien; great-great-nephew: Landon Thornton and great-great-niece: Allie
Jane Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, Dwain and
Blaine Goode, her beloved infant son, Dennis Mitchell, and her late husbands, Neil
Mitchell and Rev. Robert Browne. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on
Saturday, January 4th: Meet/Greet fellowship at 10:00 a.m. followed by 11:00am
Memorial Service at Life Church of Fruitland Park, Florida. In lieu of flowers,
donations are kindly accepted for LEGACY or Missions at Life Church Assembly
of God- 4001 Picciola Road, Fruitland Park, FL 34731. Online condolences may
