Harold Bennett's Obituary
Harold Bennett passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the age of 85. He was born on January 6, 1926 in Etna, IN to the late Fred and Margaret Bennett. Harold served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, and graduated from the Manchester University in Indiana with a teaching degree. Golf was Harold’s true love and he became golf pro, working at the Hart Country Club in Marion, IN for many years, and then the Waterlefe Country Club in Bradenton, FL. He was a life member of the PGA, and avid photographer. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Caroline Bennett, one son; Kent Bennett of Niceville, FL, and one daughter Gayle (Michael) Mc Philamy of Portage, MI. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A graveside memorial service for Mr. Bennett will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10th. at 11:00 a.m. in Skyway Memorial Gardens.
