Grace was of the Catholic faith and became a resident of Florida in the mid 1980s. She was a very hardworking woman, always working and maintaining jobs of all kinds. She retired only about 8 months ago from Bealls.
In her free time, Grace loved to be outside, camping, fishing and watching rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center from her backyard.
Grace was also a social butterfly, she enjoyed playing bingo and gambling.
Grace was a kind, caring and selfless woman. She was quite hospitable and enjoyed cooking dinner every night for her mother in law.
Grace will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of almost 10 years, Patrick Hetherington, two sons; David "Andy" and Joseph "Joey" as well as two siblings and a precious granddaughter; Laila.
In lieu of flowers, Grace's family has asked donations to be made in her loving memory to any local organization that helps children in need. During Grace's employment at Bealls, she purchased children's clothes throughout the year and around Christmas time every year, donated bags of children's clothes to the Fruitland Park Elementary school.
The Hetherington family would also like to offer a special thank you to the staff at UF Health Leesburg, especially the two amazing CNAs that took care of Grace during her time there.
