Mr. Gilvan Santos' Obituary
Gilvan Santos age 79 of Leesburg, Florida passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Gilvan was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island and moved to the Wildwood area in 1985 from New York City. He had been a resident of the Hawthorne Community in Leesburg since 2007. Gilvan spent his career working as a limousine driver in New York. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in Korea. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a former member of the American Legion, in Wildwood, Florida and a former member of the Wildwood Kiwanis Club. He loved spending time with his friends and loved ones playing board games and cards.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years – Norma; Sons Frank Santos of Long Island, NY; and John (Lana) Santos of Vero Beach, FL; Daughter Amy (Steven) Swartz – Long Island, NY; Step Children – Steven (Connie) Milton of Titusville, FL; and Brenda (David) Lloyd- Summerfield, FL; a Sister – Dora (Owin) Chance of Wildwood, FL; and 6 Grandchildren Kayla, Ashton, John Matthew, Sabrina, Irene, and Samantha.
A celebration of Gilvan’s life is scheduled for June 15, 2013.
