Mr. Berkman was a cool and nice man. Although I didn't play football for Bennett, he treated me like one of his guys, and I truly appreciate him for that. My prayers are with the Berkman family. Dino V. Clay - Class of '83.

Mr Berkman was a great man - father figure to alot of us at school --always had a smile and made you feel special. He was larger than life. He will be missed. Lynn Pilarski - Class of 82'
Jerry Berkman, you must have been a truly wonderful man, husband and father because your amazing daughter is one of the best friends I have ever known...kind, generous, selfless and giving. Nancy, my heart goes out to you at this very sad time, but I know you have so many memories and stories to keep your dad close to you. His legacy lives on through you and your beautiful family. Much love to you. Chris
Mr Berknan is known to me only through the shining, loving eyes of his daughter Nancy, Her love is a testament to the wonderful man he was, and my heart goes out to his family at this sad time.

Dad,
Even though my heart is broken and already miss you terribly - I know the strong faith in God that you have instilled gives me incredible peace and comfort.
You truly fought the fight and now have crossed the finish line for the ultimate reward - HEAVEN!
I know that you will always be watching over your "Little Girl" and our family. Especially Dylan and McKenzie as they have bright futures ahead of them.
Always know there will not be a day that will go by without a thought of you and the sweet memories we shared together!
I must admit one of the things that will be missed most is your joke telling. That is something I have vowed to myself that I will try to master. But, have to admit that I have failed miserably so far... I am sure you will grace me with that gift from up above!
Rest in Peace My Dear, Sweet Dad!
XXOO,
Nancy :)
I'm sad to hear that Mr. Berkman's friendly smile is no longer with us, but heaven is a lucky place right now and I'm sure he's smiling upon us! I remember him telling his stories to my dad about his football players, and they were hysterical stories about things those guys did. He always had a story. And my other fondest memories of him are any time he was with his many beautiful dogs throughout the years. Rest in peace Mr. Berkman! You will be missed! Love, Susan (and Alan) Heffernan
