George W. Deiter's Obituary
George W. Deiter age 87 passed away Friday, evening at the Hospice House in Tavares, Florida. He was born in Scranton, PA and moved to the Leesburg, Florida area in 1992 from Lebanon, PA. He was a Physical Education teacher at the Lebanon Sr. High School and Harrison Jr. High School and retired as a department head after more than 35 years. He was a WW II veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of the American Legion, a Life Member of the N. R. A., and he also served as a Deputy Game Warden for over 30 years. George was a sports enthusiast and was happiest when he was outdoors fishing, hunting and boating. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years – Helen and his son Dr. Raymond L. Deiter of Sausalito, California. The family will be planning a service in Lebanon at a later date.
