Gary Wayne Smallwood Sr.'s Obituary
Gary Wayne Smallwood age 57 passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Florida. He was born in Berea, Kentucky but spent most of his life in the Leesburg area. Gary was a former over the road Truck driver and loved to travel the country on the open road. He spent most of his life as a commercial painter and spent time as a painter on the Alaskan Pipeline and off shore oil rigs. He was also known locally for his ability to restore antique furniture to showroom condition. Gary lived life by his own rules and was a thrill seeker since his childhood and was happiest when he was unwinding a fast motorcycle. He also had a deep love of fishing his entire life.
He is survived by his mother Ruth, of Leesburg; Son Gary Wayne Smallwood, Jr. of Alexandria, KY; Daughter Brandy Turley of Dry Ridge, KY; Brothers – Bill Smallwood of Wiersdale; and Mitch Smallwood of Leesburg; Sister – Wanda Hale of Webster; and 5 grandchildren – Blake, Gabe, Sophia, Sabrina, and Sara.
