In 2011, members of the Detachment had just finished a round of Combat Golf, organized by Angelo Grotticelli at the Saddlebrook executive course. Afterwards, several of the participants were standing beneath a large oak tree laughing, telling tall tales, and enjoying a few cold beers. In the middle of all this was Lee Radford, holding court and regaling all with his never-ending repertoire of jokes and war stories. What a treasure he was. Everyone he’s joining above is in for a special treat.
Lee, Marlene and Semper were one of the first I met when I moved into the Villas. They were good friends and neighbors. I have fond memories of them. All of them together again. Carol
When Lee was busy volunteering (which was most of the time!) he looked forward to spending time on the bench at the park with Semper. This was a good day.
Lee and Semper together forever ♥️
Rest in peace my friend. You will be truly missed ! 😪😪
Lee was my hero. My wife and I sat at his table at the Marine Corps Ball. He treated of course. I loved smoking cigars a having a couple beers with him while listening to his jokes and Marine stories. As recently as last Tuesday. I genuinely loved Lee. Will miss him dearly. Dan Harkin
I absolutely loved Lee! He was such a gentleman to all and had a heart of gold that also had many stories attached to share! I'm in Michigan for the month and was totally shocked to see this about Lee's passing. He certainly will be missed in many ways. May he rest in peace and fly with the Angels!

Lee (aka) Might Midget was truly a giant. He was giving, caring and all around wonderful person. Love when we bowled and he did his special wiggle after throwing the ball. Hanging out together just to have a good laugh. You will be truly missed buddy. ❤️❤️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
