I have the most wonderful memories of Bubba as our softball manager for Becker’s Sporting Goods. We had so much fun on and off the field, competing against some of the best teams around the country. Fortunately, we had a great “coach” in Bubba, who could take a lot of grief and, at the same time, make sure we consistently played ball at a topnotch level. One thing is for sure; you never wanted to bet against Bubba, whether it be pool or anything else. He took a lot of money from most of us dumb enough to bet against him. We send our heartfelt prayers and condolences to his family.

My condolences to Bubba's family - especially Kim and Paula. We spent a lot of time growing up together, many great memories.
Listening to Bubba's stories of softball, increased my interest in the sport. I have told many that he was my softball inspiration!

Sally and I send our condolences to Bubba's family and friends. I played softball with and for Bubba for many years and always considered him a great friend besides a team mate. We spent many a day on long bus trips going to one tournament to another and Bubba was always the one to keep us together as a team, playing for each other. I will always remember Bubba as a kind and really caring man and I was very fortunate to have know him. RIP buddy Tim Rappis
We in the Markle and extended families enjoyed many special times together. Many a Christmas evening or a long ago family reunion I will always remember as long as I live.
I send my deepest sympathies to his family,I will miss you Uncle Bubba.

Donna and I send our condolences to the Frank "Bubba" Markle family. He was a wonderful friend and a top notch promoter of the sport of slow pitch softball in Waukesha. Our first World Softball Tournament together was in Parma, OH. Upon our return from that tournament, Bubba led a campaign to have the City of Waukesha build the present day Saratoga Softball Complex in Waukesha. Our team, managed by Bubba, played in a tournament at Milwaukee County Stadium, the Milwaukee Braves major league baseball park, and that has not ever happened again. We played 100 plus games every summer traveling in the Midwest for several years. After Bubba moved to Florida he returned each summer to Waukesha and on one of his visits asked if I would help with a Becker's reunion for our 1966 State Championship Team. It was a great success with the help of teammate, Butch Peyton. That was the last time I saw Frank. Attached are a few photos from that Becker's gathering. RIP Dear friend.
