Everett W. Koopman's Obituary
Everett W. Koopman age 92, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Wildwood, Florida.  Everett was born in Warren, Ohio and moved to the Leesburg area in 2001 from Woodbury, Minnesota.  He was retired from Northern States Power Company (Xcel Energy) where he spent 32 years as an electrician.  He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a Mason.  He was also a former member of the American Legion before moving to Florida.  Everett was a generous, quiet and thoughtful person who loved animals, and he was happiest when he was spending time in the great outdoors in his canoe.  He loved to fish but often said he was going fishing but instead of taking his fishing pole he would take a book as it was the peaceful solitude of nature he loved.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Everett and Marie and his grandson – Nathan Everett.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years – Rosemary; daughter – Julie (Steven) Turk of Tavares; sisters – Marie Schladinske and Mary Ellen Beighley both of Winona, Minnesota; and 1 granddaughter – Sarah.
A private service is planned at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
