Elsie Marjorie Bowling's Obituary
Elsie M. Bowling passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the age of 71. She was born on June 8, 1939 in Mt. Clemens, MI to the late Alexander and Marjorie Chalmers. Elsie enjoyed riding horses and often road in parades and other exhibitions with her equestrian group in MI. She also enjoyed sewing and belonged to the sewing club in Continental Country Club, where she and her husband Clarence have made their home for the past 5 years. Locally she attended St. Vincent DePaul’s Catholic Church in Wildwood. Together she and Clarence were able to celebrate their 45th. Wedding anniversary on Nov. 6th.of this year. Elsie is also survived by two sons; Carl (Demia) Bowling of Triton, GA, and Clarence (Ali) Bowling of Minneola, FL, three daughters; Cynthia Bowling/Clarke (Elias) of Wildwood, FL, Anna Bowling of Escanaba, MI, Theresa (Jon) Davis of Escanaba, MI, She is also survived by five special grandchildren; Corrina, Tiffany, Alex, Steven, and Royner, as well as many other grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 24, 2010, in St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church of Wildwood at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Elsie’s honor may be directed toward Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages Team.
