Dearest Cathy and family of Hoyt Berry: My sincere sympathies on your loss. Of course I have many good memories of Hoyt when he was with the Plantation Writer's Guild and as a friend. We enjoyed your company on the cruise we took with the Writer's Guild as well as time together as friends. He was always so proud of his family, especially Casandra. He often spoke of his times in his stories and poetry. When you did move away from the Plantation, we missed you both very much. This was such a "long goodbye" for you, Cathy and Casandra. May you find peace in knowing that he loved you both very much though he may not have been able to express it at the end. If you have his writings and papers, I would suggest you look at them when you can find the heart. In those times, you were very near to him and with him in his thoughts and words. Blessings and Condolences....Joyce A Halvorsen [email protected]
