Eleanor Willoughby Butler's Obituary
Eleanor Willoughby Butler, age 99 of Leesburg, Florida passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington, Georgia Mrs. Butler came to Leesburg in 1926 and graduated from Leesburg High School in 1927. She married Marvin H. Butler in 1928 who was the Co-Owner of Butler Chevrolet Co. from 1922-1972. At the time of Mrs. Butler's death she was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Through the years she was active in church and school activities with her family. She was a member of the Leesburg Women's Club, and the Heritage Club. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and loved to play tennis and watch tournaments on television. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years Marvin Butler and her daughter - Betty Bidgood and her grandson Reid Scott.She is survived by her daughter Elaine (Gerald) Scott of Leesburg; 4 Grandchildren Dean (Diane) Bidgood Sara Dunn, Brian (Lynne) Scott, Page widow of Reid Scott; 8 Great-Grandchildren- Sara Garrett, Lee and Grace Bidgood, Emily Bray, Lana Stone, Aaron, Adam and, Jacob Scott;8 Great-great grandchildren - Anna and Maggie Garret, Ella Grace Bray, Liam, Eleanor, and Abigale Scott, Brenden and Devon Stone. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A. M. - Monday, December 7, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens 1901 State Road 25A, Leesburg, Florida. Reverend Gary Blanchard will serve as Officiant.
