Eleanor May McMahon's Obituary
Eleanor May McMahon, 83, St. Petersburg, FL went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2014 at Bay Front Hospice under the loving care of her family and staff of Bay Front Hospice. Mrs. McMahon was born on March 12, 1931 in Manchester, Connecticut to her parents Victor and Edna Dimond. She was a Registered Nurse in the Health Care field. She moved to Florida in October of 2013 from Ocean Grove, NJ and was member of the Salvation Army. She had worked as a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Asbury Park School System, Methodist Home in Ocean Grove and the Salvation Army Retired Officers Residence. She belonged to the Soroptimist International a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls. She enjoyed traveling later in life with her husband Douglas and spending time at the beach. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Douglas H. McMahon of St. Petersburg, FL; two sons: Douglas McMahon (Robin Gipson) of St. Petersburg, FL and John McMahon (Dana) of Seminole, FL; a daughter: Mary McMahon of Hillsborough, NJ; two brothers: Edward and Russell Dimond; a sister: Frances Dimond; four grandchildren: Patrick McMahon, Robert McMahon, Tyler McMahon and Mia McMahon and many loving nieces and nephews.
