A first rate mentor, boss and friend. We shared our 'country folk' roots - his from NH and mine from VT. Ed enjoyed pointing out their hidden smarts, often playing the role of the country bumpkin to their advantage when negotiating and doing business. In my three years in the Boston Mutual Home Office, I spent every summer half-Friday in Ed's office conversing about almost everything - he had the common touch with real smarts and abilities. And Sandy ... the Boys ... what can be said about their loving relationships and care for one another.
I'm sorry for their loss which I share. It was my great privilege to have known Ed Thompson. Doug Clark
