I taught music at Chestnut Hill when Edna taught first grade there. I was a first year teacher and soon realized that she was kind to the children in her class and to her fellow teachers as well. 5 years later we joined NSBC at the invitation of a neighbor, and learned that she and Dave attended there too. I am sorry for your loss of both parents.

To the Orser brothers, you are in the thoughts of many folks here at NSBC who loved and hold many fond memories of your parents. Dear Donald,Thomas and William, I worked with your Mom at Chestnut Hill Elementary School when she taught first grade. (I was the school nurse). Your Mom and I had many conversations regarding her students of course, but she also shared with me the many wonderful times she had with you three boys and your Dad. I wish there were words I could say that would take away the sadness I know you must feel over the loss of both your parents. I do hope you will find comfort in the beautiful memories you had with them growing up in a Christian home. Our condolences to the family of David and Edna Orser. We are so saddened by the loss of their presence here on earth, but it is an ending to a true love story that they were able to walk through heaven's doors together. We were neighbors, here in Florida for many year's and they were a true blessing to us. They are surely an example of how to live a righteous life and deeply cared about all they came in contact with. I will miss the elegant light display at Christmas, which lit Dolores Court up with the spirit. I drove by every year...even after I moved. They will live on in my heart forever and remain an inspiration.

My condolences and prayers are with the family and friends of David and Edna Orser. They were wonderful neighbors to me for many years, here in Florida. It is an end to a love story here on earth, but fitting and comforting to know they walked through heaven's doors together and will live on through eternity. They lived a righteous life by example and were caring and giving in all they did. I will miss the elegant lights that reflected the spirit of Christmas on Dolores Court. Until we meet again....

Dear Donald, Thomas, and William, My heart is full for you right now. You were a second family to us and I remember the energy and laughter in your home. One of my most vivid memories is staying with you while my folks were out of town and being awakened quite SUDDENLY with "When the Saints go Marching in" playing at top volume on that very large stereo console. Your mom figured it was the best way to get all of us out of bed in time to make it to church! I know that losing them both so close together is devastating for you all. My prayer is that the God of peace will comfort you with the knowledge and experience of His presence today and the days ahead. Orser Boys, I was sad enough to hear your dad had passed away earlier this week but was totally taken aback when Donnie texted me this morning letting me know your mom had also passed away!! Your parents hold a very special place in my heart and memories. I have much respect for them for the love they displayed for the youth of our church - moving to the house they did to be close to NSBC, opening that home every Sunday evening (and more) to us, stocking that home with a fooseball table, pool table, extra fridge with soda, endless supply of snacks, installed a built-in pool, and most importantly had an endless supply of listening ears and love for us. Your mom brought me to school with her to help me explore my future plans. I know you know it more than anybody....but your parents were wonderful, godly people who I'm thankful were part of my teenage years. (Here's a fun factoid - Donnie & I just figured out we're probably at least about 10 years older right now than your parents were when they were opening their home to us -- and they seemed "so old" to us!
