Duane Edward Stouffer's Obituary
Duane Edward Stouffer, 72, went to sleep in death waiting for the hope of the resurrection on July 18, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Duane was born on January 30, 1943 in Altoona, PA to his parents Charles and Margaret Stouffer. He and his wife Marti moved to Florida in 1987 from Stephens City, VA. Duane graduated from Osbourn High School, Manassas, VA in 1961 and joined the United States Air Force in May of 1961. He became one of Jehovah’s witnesses in 1973. Duane was the proud owner and operator of Wild Thangz graphic arts window tinting and signs since 1987.Duane was a hardworking man who truly loved what he did. When Duane wasn’t working he enjoyed doing home improvement projects, deep sea fishing, diving, classic movies, John Wayne and basketball. Duane was also a diehard Washington Redskins fan. Most people would describe Duane as a jokester. He was a funny man with an excellent sense of humor who kept everyone laughing up until his last day. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by many. Duane is survived by his loving wife of 51 years: Marti Elizabeth Stouffer, of Eustis, FL formally of Banbury, UK; Daughter: Antoinette Sharff and her fiancé John Clark, of Tavares, FL; Son: Shawn Stouffer and his fiancé Vicki Hammerbeck, of Leesburg, FL; Brother: Stephen (Jackie) Stouffer, of Port St. Lucy, FL; Sisters: Gloria (Jerry) Taylor, of Yalaha, FL and Linda Austin, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Grandchildren: Brittany, Lena, Joey, Alaysha, and Maritza; Great-Grandson: Jaxx; Sister in law: Maria Albright, of Ocala, FL; Brother in law: Joseph Szegner, of South Wales, UK; and his beloved cat: Missy. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 11:00AM at Page-Theus Funeral Home located at 914 West Main St. Leesburg, FL 34748 with Brother John Jones officiating.
