Doug was so dear to me, such a good friend and neighbor. I had the good fortune to watch him grow from a teenager to adulthood.
My best memory of Doug is from one morning in snowy Colorado when I was a single mom. I woke up early to get ready to go teach, but first I had to shovel my driveway. That was not my favorite chore. Still in bed, I heard a snowblower and I thought, lucky them! The noise was really close, so I looked out. Much to my amazement it was Doug blowing MY driveway with a new snowblower! Lucky me! Doug continued to do it many times.
That memory, among many, I will always cherish!
Love always,
