Dorothy Mae Blankenship's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Blankenship, age 88, passed away Thursday April 19, 2012 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida. Dorothy was born in Danville, Kentucky and moved to the Leesburg area in 1988 from Lancaster, Kentucky. She was a retired Accountant and retired from the Christian Appalachian Project. She took great pride in the fact that she was able to serve her country during W. W. II as a Yeoman 2nd Class in the Navy. She will be remembered as a person who loved to be active. She enjoyed boating, bowling and golf but most of all she enjoyed taking Cruises. She was pre-deceased by her Husband Thomas Blankenship Jr. and a Sister Imogene Tredo. She is survived by: 3 Daughters – Diane Travillian, Louisville, KY; Debra Travillian, Lawrenceburg, KY; and Toni Fowler, NJ; a Sister – Anna Bella Gordon, Danville, KY; 5 grandchildren – Georgianna; Jeremy; Candace; Brandon and Stephania; and 16 great-grandchildren. Interment will take place at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Kentucky with military honors.Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
