Doris Jane Rednour's Obituary
Doris Jane Rednour age 79 passed away early Saturday, January 12, 2013 at a local care center in Leesburg, Florida. Doris was born in Effingham, Illinois and moved to the Fruitland Park area over 40 years ago from Mooresville, Indiana. For many years she owned and operated “Draperies by Doris” but from her view the most important job she had was being a loving Christian mother and devoted Christian wife. She and her husband Sam enjoyed traveling and visited 18 different countries on their diverse travels and adventures. On one of her trips to the Holy Land she was baptized in the Jordan River. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg where she and her husband served in the Home Ministry Program for over 22 years visiting and conducting services in many area nursing homes, spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter Edith Marie Rednour and leaves to carry on her memory her loving Husband of 61 years Sam; 3 sons – William Randall (Renee) Rednour of Fruitland Park; Ronald Gene (Teresa) Rednour of Lady Lake; and Rex Wayne (Sheree) Rednour of Fruitland Park; A daughter – Linda Sue Rednour of Okahumpka, Florida; 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday – January 14, 2012 from 5-7 PM at the Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday at 1:00 P. M. with Rev. Art Ayris serving as Officiant.
