Donald Kendric Hinshaw's Obituary
Donald K. Hinshaw age 94, passed away Friday January 1, 2010 at Hampton Manor in Belleview, Florida. He was born in Des Moines Iowa and moved to the Oxford area over 30 years ago. Mr. Hinshaw retired from the Armor Meat Company where he worked as an accountant, and then went to work for his daughter at the Gallery of Creations as a silk tree maker. He enjoyed working a full schedule until the age of 89 and was affectionately known throughout Sumter and Marion Counties as "The Tree Man".He is survived by his daughter - Donna Distefano, Summerfield, FL; Grandchildren - Steven Distefano, Jennifer (David) Hair, and Marie (Mark) Noble, and 4 Great-grandchildren - Kyle, Connor, Micaela, and Bella. There will be a graveside funeral service at 10:30 A. M. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL with Dr. Bill Hodge serving as Officiant.
