Donald Lee Griesemer's Obituary
Donald Lee Griesemer, 85 was born on October 22, 1929 in Enterprise, IL… the youngest son of Fred and Bessie Griesemer, who preceded him in death. Lee was married on December 28, 1950 to Rosalie Schnitz, who survives. He is also survived by three sons; David (Linda) of Plainfield, IL, Don (Jeduan) of Chatsworth, GA, and Jeff of Casselberry, FL. Lee enjoyed seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He leaves many nieces and nephews. His brother, Bob, preceded him in death.
Lee taught in Illinois Public Schools for 24 years. He was a coach for 16 of these years. He owned and operated radio station WSAK and the Book Store in Sullivan. He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and received a Master’s Degree from both Eastern Illinois University and the University of Illinois. He was also a member of Southpointe Baptist Church.
