Delbert Leroy Blanchard's Obituary
Delbert L Blanchard, 88, of Leesburg, FL., passed away on June 15 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Delbert was born on April 3, 1932 to the late Dorothy and Clyde Blanchard, in Rochester, MI. After High School, Delbert served his country proudly when he joined the United States Army, from 1951 to 1954. He enlisted during the Korean War, and got stationed in Germany where he met his wife and married her. He was a truck driver, a very hard worker that worked until he retired when he was 75. Mr. Blanchard is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 65 years, Ann Blanchard; a Daughter Lisa Blanchard Workman; a Grandson Gabriel Foster; granddaughter Sabrina Patsicostas; 2 great grandsons Nicholas Patsicostas and Sebastian Patsicostas; sister Sharon Blanchard Potere (Robert); sisters-in-law Erika Mueller, Gertrude Bathke, Hilde Knickerbocker; brothers-in-law Guenther Assmann, Herbert Assmann Estella; many nieces and nephews, and host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Vickie Blanchard. Delbert was an amazing person, and he will be missed by everyone that knew him. Mr. Blanchard will be cremated with a memorial service set at a later date, please check back as we will update the information for the memorial service.
