David Alan Sprouse's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Alan Sprouse of Leesburg, FL on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
David was born in Gallipolis, OH to his parents, Roscoe and Betty Sprouse in 1963. He would call Point Pleasant, West Virginia home though before moving to Orlando, FL. As a young man, David loved playing football in high school and college alongside his twin brother, both were known as the “Gold Dust Twins”. He attended Concord University until tragedy struck in his home life, with his mother becoming very ill. He ended up leaving school to help take care of mom. In trying times, he did what he could to help others around him.
When asked, David’s family would describe him as humorous, silly, and overflowing with a heart of gold encased in steel. Once you broke through, he was brimming with kindness. They also expressed he was a “Man’s man”. He cherished the small things as one should; for instance, he loved good food, NASCAR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, relaxing after a hard day's work, tinkering, and building things. He worked his whole life as a carpenter, and there are many home additions such as screen enclosures in Central Florida that he built from the ground up. In this line of work, his daughter describes him as “A Legend”. Not many people can say they left something behind in this world that will remain tall and strong long after they are gone. David can.
David is survived by his wife of 25 years, Alicia Sprouse; his children, Emilee Weese, Austin Sprouse, and William Noe; his twin brother, Daniel Eugene Sprouse; his sister, Cheryl Ann Wasserman; and four grandchildren.
