David Scott Buckner's Obituary
David Scott Buckner, 56, Leesburg, FL. went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. David had been employed as a Pharmaceutical Representative for Bristol Meyers Squibb. He moved to Leesburg 4 years ago from Crystal River, Florida and was a former resident of Leesburg and a graduate of Leesburg High School class of 1976. He was of the Christian faith. He had coached all his daughter’s sporting events such as basketball and softball. He is survived by his loving family, mother: Jo Buckner of Leesburg, FL; a daughter: Bethany Jo Buckner of Jacksonville, FL; a son: George Jeremy Mitchell serving in the U.S. Air Force in South Korea; three brothers: Dale Andrew Buckner of Atlantis, FL, William Allison Buckner (Monica) of Lecanto, FL and Brian Campbell Buckner (Tammy) of Jacksonville, FL; one grandson: Jeremy Cannon Mitchell, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Allison Crawford Buckner, Jr., and sister-in-law Robin Short Buckner. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00AM at Page-Theus Funeral Chapel, Leesburg, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Mayfield Retirement Center Inc. at 460 Newell Hill Rd, Leesburg, FL 34748 or Cornerstone Hospice at 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
