Col. Dale Leroy Kellam's Obituary
Dale Leroy Kellam, 93, of Bellmead, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19 at a local hospital. Services will be 2 pm Sunday, Dec. 22, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, FL on Thursday, Dec. 26, at 11AM with Military Honors. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Saturday, Dec. 21 at the funeral home. Mr. Kellam was born September 22, 1920 in Huntington County, Indiana to William Roy and Minnie Edith (McDaniel) Kellam. He was a retired Air Force Colonel who moved to Central Texas in 2001. A Protestant, he belonged to Lakeview United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Society, The Retired Officers Association, Reserve Officers Association, National Rifle Association, AARP, American Legion and was a veteran of WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War. Mr. Kellam was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Minnie Ola in 1981 and Rose Marie in 2001. Survivors include his daughter, Martha K. Roberts of Waco; sons: Sidney L. Kellam of Cleveland, TX and David K. Kellam of Oklahoma City, OK; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
