Cynda Lee Balboni's Obituary
Cynda Balboni passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, surrounded by love and memories of a life filled with color, creativity, and lots of laughs.
Cynda grew up in Athol, Massachusetts, where she was the oldest daughter of six children born to the late Helene and Gordon Woffenden.
A talented seamstress, Cynda found joy in sewing, especially in making intricate doll clothes, and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. She had a lifelong love for bright, beautiful colors and everything Disney. She enjoyed watching football and found peace in being at the ocean and bird-watching, with a special fondness for hummingbirds.
Cynda loved visiting Maine, which held a special place in her heart. Over the past decade, she cherished her life in Florida with the love of her life and devoted husband, Allen Balboni. Together, they shared countless happy moments gardening, going on cruises, enjoying casino trips, and taking their boat out on the lake—simple pleasures that brought them great joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert MacDonald, and her cherished grandson, Luke Watling.
Cynda leaves behind her loving husband, Allen Balboni; her siblings Faye Woffenden-Phillips, Michael Woffenden, Brian Woffenden, Dawn Bowman, and Scott Woffenden; her daughters Christine Wheeler and her fiancé Paul Wells, Michelle Watling and her husband Dan, Tracee Maxson and her husband Steven; and her adored grandchildren Kiana, Dylan, Paul, Kaylee, Jake, and Ava.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, fun spirit, quiet strength, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
A private family gathering will be held in honor of Cynda at a later time.
