Claude Adkins' Obituary
Claude Adkins, 95, Ocala, FL. formerly of Leesburg passed away on July 3, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his family and staff of Marion County Hospice. Mr. Adkins was born on March 10, 1920 in Schaffer, Michigan to his parents Walter and Hatti Adkins. Mr. Adkins was former Inspector for the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Coast Guard in the European Theatre. He and his late wife moved to Leesburg 35 years ago from Sault St. Marie and Newberry, Michigan and he was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by two loving sons: Claude Adkins, Jr. and his wife Kay, James Adkins and his wife Stephanie; a daughter-in-Law: Sue Adkins; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 64 years Dorothy and loving son Richard Adkins. Services have been entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL.
