Clarence D. Sines' Obituary
Clarence D. Sines age 97 passed away late Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his home in Eustis, Florida. Clarence was born in Hudson, Michigan and moved to the Tavares area over 30 years ago from Jackson, Michigan. Before his retirement to Florida Clarence worked as a Master Brick Mason and was a member of the Brick Masons Union in Michigan for over 35 years. During World War II Clarence saw action in the South Pacific while serving in the U. S. Army and he was awarded the Purple Heart for being wounded in battle. He was known by those closest to him for his great sense of humor. He always had a joke at the ready and he was a masterful story teller. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his mechanical abilities, and his common sense approach to life. He had a passion for his daily cake doughnut from Dunkin Doughnuts, and card games with family and friends. He loved the water and boating, and he lived on many lakes throughout his life. Clarence enjoyed taking cruises with his late wife of 73 years Jean and together they took cruises throughout the Caribbean, Panama Canal and Alaska just to name a few. The foundation of the joy in his life however was his family, and he relished every minute he got to spend with them. A few days before his passing he wrote his daughters a note proclaiming that “he had a good life and that they were loved.”
In addition to his wife Jean he was predeceased by 3 daughters – Dennna Lynn; Joni Lynne; and Bernice Jean. His survivors include his loving daughters – Bonnie Sines of Eustis; and Penny Wingate of Osseo, MI; brother – Louis Sines of Brooklyn, MI; sister – Sheri Hilger of Milwaukee, WI; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
